Ability to change/move fixture to new dates in 1 step

support 6 years ago 0

Fixtures can currently be moved by selecting the tick boxes and then selecting the new date for them to move to. However if there are automatically calculated finals fixtures and you want to move an early round match to a later date (due to weather cancellation etc.) you have to move each of the following weeks fixtures one week at a time to a future date so that there is a spare week to move the desired round of fixtures.

It would be much easier if fixtures could all be selected (like they currently are through the tick boxes) and then moved "x" number of days rather then just selecting a "date" like it is now. This would prevent the need to move each week of fixtures one at a time up or back one week to make adjustments for a change in an earlier round of fixtures.

Umpires choice Fairest and Best

support 7 years ago updated by anonymous 5 years ago 4

It would be great to have the ability for umpires to simply have a 1, 2, 3 point system for best on ground at the end of each game. Unfortunately pure stats do not recognise the hard work done by fielders who provide bowlers with their outs and runs saved. Similarly Wides and No balls are added to a batters score when they are not actually contributing themselves.

Send a fixture reminder to an individual player

support 7 years ago updated by Valued Customer 7 years ago 1

Sometimes players are added after the fixture reminders have gone out, or e-mail address wasn't verified.
It would be great to then send an individual in the team the automated fixture reminder.

Currently you can only send the the whole team

Re sending Fixture Reminder Emails for Referees & Umpires

support 7 years ago updated by Valued Customer 7 years ago 1

When a fixture time is changed after the initial game reminders have been sent out there is the ability to resend game time reminders to one or both teams. However this functionality does not exist for the match official that is scheduled to the match. It would be useful if you could from the same area select the assigned referee(s) and resend a reminder to them as well so they are aware of an earlier or later game. Currently you have to separately contact the referees so they are aware of the change and this can be a large task if multiple changes have been made to the schedule.

Player of the match added to quick results

support 7 years ago 0

Could we have the player of the match selector on the quick results page for each match?

We often fill in quick results on the night and keep getting emails from players that have been given player of the match on that night but have not had their stats updated. We continually have to answer that these get updated in the duty report. Of course if we're extremely busy and the duty report gets delayed then we get more questions.

The ability to archive players in teams

support 7 years ago updated by Valued Customer 7 years ago 1

This will allow players in the team from previous seasons to be archived so their stats are retained. So in a cricket/soccer match the list of players to select from isn’t too long.

Also for individual player registration costs, the archived players won’t get the fee, but can easily be brought back into the team without having to register again.

Add "Phase" to leagues so seasons can have multiple parts (eg, Round robin, then knockout etc)

support 7 years ago 0

We run our leagues in two parts; in the first half of the season, each team plays each other once, and then we split the league into two divisions: Premiership and Championship. The teams in each division then play each other again, and then there is a knock out phase until we reach an overall winner.

At the moment we have to create a second season on Spawtz to cater for the second half of the season, and the two are not linked together etc. Similarly, when we get into the knockout phase, there isn't really a good way to show which team was the eventual winner.

It would be great to be able to have "Phases" in a season. The participants in each of the divisisons of the subsequent phases should be driven by the standings of the earlier phases - eg, in the Premiership division in the second half phase, the participants would be "Team in position 1", "Team in position 2" etc ,and in the champs it would be "Team in position 5", "Team in position 6" etc. These would then get automatically filled when the first phase was completed.

Also it would be good to have a better way to display fixtures in the knock out stages - something like a tournament listing which shows which teams have knocked out which others etc.

Autmatically calculated byes

support 7 years ago 0

Byes that are calculated in the same way as finals fixtures. Either standings based or Fixture result based.  So for example, in a page playoff situation (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Page_playoff_system) the winner of game two qualifies automatically for the final, so has a bye in the next stage.

Very useful for our finals fixtures as in some leagues we run with more teams than we have space for on a league night so have byes during the season and also need to be able to have these automatically generated so they will go out with the reminders and save us some effort.
